Brian M. Viveros will be coming to New York City\u2019s SPOKE Art Gallery, November 3 to 24, 2018, with a complete collection of new, never-before-seen works. Including paintings, detailed drawings, sketches, one-off prints and more, \u2018The Good, The Bad & The DIRTY,’ presents some of Viveros’ best pieces to date. His ‘Dirtyland,’ a subcultural playground now has long been ruled by strong, irreverent women warriors. The feminine imaginary Viveros conjures in his new body of work is a combination of beauty, brawn, and refusal, dedicated to the inviolable strength and power of the survivor.<\/p>\n

‘The Good, the bad, and the DIRTY’ will debut phenomenal new paintings of Viveros\u2019 well known, no holds barred, Woman of Power pushed to the next level in detail and execution. Included as part of this new set are some beautiful large-scale charcoal pieces with full figurative views like \u2018Fighting My Demons,\u2019 There will also be some large-scale paintings like \u2018Painless,\u2019 a strikingly powerful piece of a DirtyTrooper wearing a helmet wrapped in a crown of thorns, set against a lush gold and black background. Also premiering a special large-scale tribute piece to those fighting cancer entitled \u2018Wonder Woman Warrior.\u2019 This is Viveros\u2019 most accomplished and personally inflected collection to date. With new energy, new characters, and new life, the Dirtyland is evolving to meet its next iteration with new STRENGTH, POWER and COURAGE.<\/p>\n
