Greetings DirtyTroops!<\/p>\n

Last year, while I was in Miami for Art Basel and the SCOPE Art Fair on Miami Beach, I was in awe of these Cleon Peterson<\/a> sculpts that were just outside of the entrance of the SCOPE Art fair. They were totally monumental in size, just huge, and looked super RAD!\u00a0 So, my first question was: \u201cwho made these amazing objects?\u201d.\u00a0 When I returned home, I had just received the latest issue of Juxtapoz<\/i> in which an article on Cleon Peterson talked about the back story on those phenomenal sculpts that had so resonated with me. That\u2019s when the dirty gates opened and I found Pretty In Plastic.<\/a><\/p>\n

I was so happy to have found them, as I was already mapping out this idea of a sculpt for the upcoming Nov. 7th solo show at Thinkspace and really needed the right group of creatives to bring this vision to life; the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. My next step was to set up a meeting with them to present this concept and idea I\u2019ve had lying in wait in mind for many years. I was so excited to share my concept drawings and art for this piece, and to feel it tangibly taking shape and coming to life. The sculpt, entitled \u2018BULLHEADED\u2019<\/i>, is everything I had hoped it would be and more.<\/p>\n

Pretty In Plastic <\/a>completely understood my vision, and our energy was on the same page throughout the entire process; we knew this would be a great piece. I\u2019m so glad to have found this amazing team of craftsmen and artisans to collaborate with and bring my vision to life. They\u2019re artists with great energy and imagination, and they get it! The collaborative synchronicity really made the piece the success that it is, and we can\u2019t wait to share this with the world!<\/p>\n

On November 7th at Thinkspace Gallery LA, we\u2019ll be unveiling this Viveros x Pretty In Plastic collaborative sculpt entitled \u2018BULLHEADED\u2019<\/p>\n
