I’m very excited to announce that for the first time ever, we will be re-releasing this iconic Viva La Muerte piece again but as a very special, custom framed and mounted print with a matte finish, in a limited edition of only 33. This release will be the final edition of the print, so please take note that this will be your last opportunity to get this classic piece.

‘VIVA LA MUERTE’ STORY
The first time we released this print was as a framed paper Giclée back in 2011. The photo of the piece I had to work with at the time was good, but not the best. Back then, I was unaware of Static Medium, the masters of fine art photography, reproduction, and print production here in Los Angeles, who have since produced some fantastic prints of my work. I felt it was time to do something special for those of you who have been wanting and asking throughout the years if Viva La Muerte would ever be released as a print again. We get so many emails from fans ask- ing about this particular painting that the demand was heard. I decided to gear up and put on my best Dirtyland helmet and go on a little hunt to track down the owner of the original Viva La Muerte. Oddly enough, he’s a friend who lives not too far from me and is a huge art collector. He purchased, what has since become, one of my most well-known pieces, back in 2009 from Last Rites Gallery. I was so excited to see it and hold her again – chills ran through my body. It ended up being a very powerful day, and revisitation. My friend was gracious enough to let me take the original painting and have it professionally photographed by Static Medium for the new print. So here we are, with a killer new iteration of a Dirtyland classic.
ABOUT THE NEW ‘VIVA LA MUERTE’ PRINT 2017
For this special edition of the print, I wanted to issue something as close as possible to the original. My vision was to keep this print true in size and feel to the original with no white space surrounding the image area, so we mounted the Giclée to wood with a beautiful matte finish to protect it, give it weight and make it feel substantial, bringing it to life as an object! The result is amazing. The mounting gives the print the same thickness and physical presence as the original – I wanted it to feel like you’re actually holding the Viva La Muerte painting in your hands and I can honestly say it does! Selecting the right frame was also critical to me as a finishing detail, so I chose a beautiful black molding to complement and work with the piece. Start to finish, the details have brought this edition together, and Static Medium did an outstanding job in bringing this exclusive release to life. For fans of this classic, and for all of you avid Dirtyland collectors out there, this will definitely be the print to get!
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Each print will come with its own special COA (Certificate of Authenticity) and will also come hand signed and numbered on the back of each print.
With each purchase will also come with a custom die-cut Viva La Muerte sticker.
